W: Hi, I hope you can. I’m trying to register for classes, and I’m not sure I’m in a right place.
M: This is it? Do you have a registration form?
W: Oh, no. I just got admitted here, and I have no idea what I’m supposed to do next.
M: Okay. Take this form, and take a copy of the course catalog. Since you are a freshman, you probably have to take a lot of core courses.
W: You mean like required courses?
M: Right. So, you see them listed on this catalog, and you choose classes that are listed W: under core requirements. Then, you should see your academic adviser, and get his or her signature. Your adviser will make sure you’ve chosen the right courses from the core requirements.
M: Thanks. I really had no idea what to do. I’ll go and see my adviser right away.
